Sara Stern-Nezer, MD, obtained her medical degree from Stanford University with a concurrent MPH from UC Berkeley. She finished her residency at Stanford before migrating south to UCLA for her Neurocritical Care fellowship and finally further south for her faculty position as assistant professor at UC Irvine. She is passionate about improving medical education in the field as well as outcomes research after acute brain injury. She is currently editor of New Science in Neurocritical Care (NEWS) and excited to be a part of the Currents Editorial Board. She also founded the NEWS Flash Podcast, which provides concise summaries of important trials in neurocritical care.
