Fostering research that advances the field of neurocritical care is one of NCS’ top strategic priorities. The NCS Research Committee reviews survey requests and grants approval for surveys to be sent to NCS members.

Below, you will find the latest approved surveys. Please take a few minutes to complete surveys if the target audience applies to you.

Milrinone and SAH Survey

Survey of milrinone use in patients who experience delayed cerebral ischemia following aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.

Target Audience: Clinicians (neurosurgeons, neurointensivists, or neurologists at the resident or staff level) who directly care for and make clinical decisions for patients after they suffer aSAH in neurosurgical centers.

Duration: 10 minutes

Neurochecks in the ICU

We are recruiting research participants to help us determine the standard frequency of neurological assessments (neurochecks) performed by nursing staff throughout neurologic ICUs, neurocheck identification of neurologic deterioration, and the possible contribution of neurochecks to the development of delirium.

No identifiable information will be collected about you, and the survey will remain anonymous. All participants will be provided an identical, deidentified and untraceable link to the survey. 

Target Audience: Staff physicians, physicians in training, nurses and pharmacists

Duration: 5 minutes
