Neurocritical Care, the official journal of the Neurocritical Care Society, has reached several new milestones that reflect the journal’s continued growth and influence in the field.
According to the latest data released by Clarivate, Neurocritical Care achieved its highest-ever two-year Impact Factor of 4.2. The journal also received a five-year Impact Factor of 3.7 and, for the first time, was ranked as a Q1 journal in both Clinical Neurology and Critical Care Medicine.
In addition, Neurocritical Care achieved its highest-ever Normalized Eigenfactor and Journal Citation Indicator, further reflecting the journal’s strong performance within its field and the quality of its scholarly impact.
The peer-reviewed journal publishes research and guidance across all aspects of acute neurological care, including current developments in intensive care neurology, neurosurgery and neuroanesthesia. The latest metrics underscore the journal’s role as a leading publication for clinically relevant research, reviews, guidelines and advances in neurocritical care.
“Hitting an all-time high Impact Factor of 4.2 and breaking into the top tier for both Clinical Neurology and Critical Care Medicine is a rewarding milestone for Neurocritical Care,” said Michael N. Diringer, MD, editor-in-chief of Neurocritical Care. “This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our authors, editors and reviewers. For the Neurocritical Care Society and our entire multidisciplinary community, these rankings validate that the specialized science we are building together is actively shaping the standard of acute neurological care worldwide and driving the field forward.”
The journal’s growth has also been supported by highly cited NCS guidelines, topical collections and increased open access publication.
