NCS Recognizes Neurocritical Care Leaders Approved for UCNS Committee Roles

The Neurocritical Care Society (NCS) is pleased to recognize the neurocritical care leaders recently approved to serve in key roles with the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS). These nominations were submitted jointly by NCS and the AAN Critical Care & Emergency Neurology Section to represent the field of neurocritical care in key leadership and certification roles.
The following individuals were approved for service in their respective positions:
- Dr. Sherry Chou: UCNS Board of Directors (2026–2028)
- Dr. Sebastian Pollandt: Certification Examination Committee (2026–2029)
- Dr. Hanna Kirsch: Certification Examination Committee (2026–2029)
- Dr. Michel Torbey: Certification Examination Committee (2026–2029)
- Dr. Rahul Damani: Certification Examination Committee (2026–2028)
- Dr. Sarah Wahlster: Certification Examination Committee (2026–2029)
These appointments reflect the continued leadership and expertise of the neurocritical care community in shaping certification standards and advancing the specialty.
NCS also recognizes and thanks outgoing Certification Examination Committee members Drs. Kalanuria, Kumar and Koffman for their valued service, time and contributions during their terms.
